Blondie's performance tomorrow at 'South By Southwest' will be streamed live on the 'net.
Blondie will perform tomorrow during Austin, Texas' South By Southwest - A.K.A. SBSW - festivals at Yahoo's Brazos Hall. Luckily for their fans that can't attend the show, the Deborah Harry-fronted sextet's performance will be live-streamed online on the Smithsonian Channel as well as on Yahoo Screen and the latter's mobile app.
Furthermore, excitingly, the Smithsonian Channel will première an hour-long documentary about the 'Rapture' performers, entitled 'Blondie's New York', on 21 March.
The Smithsonian Channel wrote about the upcoming film: "In the span of just a few years, Blondie went from a band fighting for punk cred at CBGB to international stardom, thanks in large to their next album: Parrellel Lines. What was the secret behind its success? How did it all come together?...and nearly fall apart? Enter the recording studio with Blondie's frontwoman and namesake, Debbie Harry, the rest of the band, and producer Mike Chapman. Their conversations reveal the real stories behind iconic hits like 'Heart of Glass' and 'One Way or Another' and how they launched punk music into the mainstream."
Blondie bulletin: An interview with Deborah Harry is featured in this week's issue of Stylist Magazine.
